[TUT] ArcEmu .conf files (configs)
So, i know that many people are having truble with their .conf files. Thats why i make this guide, to help everyone out there strugling!
Step 1: World.conf
What you need to edit in the World.conf is these lines:
You can set the RemotePassword to anything you want, but you have to remember it!
Step 2: Realms.conf
What you need to edit in the Realms.conf is these lines:
Step 3: Logon.conf
What you need to edit in the Logon.conf is these lines:
Replace 5.48.102.201 with your (the host's) hamachi IP or your DNS adress
Now, to connect to the server set the realmlist to:
*NOTE*
If you are playing on the host computer or on the same internet as it, set realmlist:
Step 1: World.conf
What you need to edit in the World.conf is these lines:
- Code:
<WorldDatabase Hostname = "localhost" Username = "root" Password = "ascent" Name = "why" Port = "3306" Type = "1">
<CharacterDatabase Hostname = "localhost" Username = "root" Password = "ascent" Name = "characters" Port = "3306" Type = "1">
- Code:
<LogonServer DisablePings = "0"
RemotePassword = "dddddd">

Step 2: Realms.conf

- Code:
<LogonServer Address = "5.48.102.201"
Port = "8093"
Name = "Default Logon"
RealmCount = "1">
- Code:
<Realm1 Name = "Blizzlike"
Address = "5.48.102.201:8129"
Icon = "PVP"
Population = "1.0"
TimeZone = "1">
Step 3: Logon.conf
What you need to edit in the Logon.conf is these lines:
- Code:
<Listen Host = "5.48.102.201"
ISHost = "5.48.102.201"
RealmListPort = "3724"
ServerPort = "8093">
- Code:
<LogonServer RemotePassword = "dddddd"
AllowedIPs = "5.48.102.201/24"
AllowedModIPs = "5.48.102.201/24">

Set realmlist 5.48.102.201

Yes, it is for ArcEmu.. can be used for any ArcEmu based repacks and the consept is the same as Mangos and Trinity etc. so if you have a brain you can use this for them too.

I feel like your missing an edit in the login? The LogonDatabaseHostname? =0

He might,
However I would just like to make a note: The logon panel at the top is not ALWAYS true, if it has 'why' or 'characters' then replace it with what it says in the database. This one may be joint into a repack which he may had not stated. As config files are not ALWAYS like this.
