DP Glow... any way to remove this annoying, lag inducing effect?

Hi,

If anyone knows how to disable/remove the DP glow, I would be eternally greatful.
A lot of people think the "Glow Effect" in Graphics Settings turns it off, but sadly it doesn't.
That setting is for environmental glow effects only and does nothing for the character glow.

I believe removing this may reduce lag on my server, but can't really test it.

I strongly suspect it may be client side, so if anyone knows, please share.
