New to this all--general questions

Hello! So, I've become really bored as of late, and decided to try starting a world of warcraft private server on my own! I couldn't find a ton of packs, but the one that I settled on was called something like "Lbniese-Repack 2.9".

I managed to create the server and log in. I haven't made it public yet because I want to associate myself with stuff like the GM controls and what not.

I logged in as the username admin with the password admin, and managed to create a toon that started in GMisland.

Now here's where I'm experiencing trouble:

1) I can't find any list AT ALL of GM codes, besides a few, and whenever I try them it says something about that code not being available or me not having access to it (which is strange, because I am, after all, on the ADMIN account???)

2) I have NO IDEA how to get off of GM Island without codes (because, as stated previously, the codes just simply aren't working)

3) There is nobody in GM Island.

I downloaded Navicat because I was told I would have to use Navicat to make myself a GM, but I have literally NO IDEA how to use Navicat...I don't know which connection to open or whatever...I have a bunch of bat files running that allow me to access the server, but I don't really have the first clue on how to do any of this navicat stuff.

Can anyone help me out?!?!

Hey man, thanks for the speedy reply, I appreciate it.

My problem wasn't so much that I was in gmisland, but was that I don't know how to leave :-/

I figured out most of the commands, but I'm not sure how to teleport myself somewhere, nor am I sure how to find an item's ID...I've looked at allakhazam and couldn't find anything there...

I just told you mate, .Recall port (place) to leave from gmisland, then you will have to make teleporter`s, portals and other stuff when you set it public.

Oops, sorry about that man, I don't know how I missed that one, but thanks!

And thanks for the tip about making the portals...I'll be sure to do that, haha!

I kind of feel stupid for asking this, and chances are that by the time that somebody gets back to me I'll have already answered my own question, but I just made my server public and live, and I'm wondering how the heck I can get my friends to make an account on it?!?!

Alright, so I figured it all out about the account, but now I've got worse problems.

You see, I found a youtube video guide on this site for how to make the site public, and I've followed it DOWN TO A TEE, but I still get an error in World of Warcraft that says that I cannot connect.

I've forwarded ALL of my ports, but I'm still getting that error. What's going on over here?!?! :s
