Well I was going about my daily business when i found out a little fact about Cataclysm! It turns out that the people saying that the goblin was a bad race - well it is not it is just because Worgen are cooler. Blizzard picked an unpopular figure (like the Goblin) because of Basically Horde were taking over the realms. Even on my home server of Vek' Nilash - 1/4 of people were regularly playing Alliance. So Blizzard's aim is to even out the factions by putting a cool race on the Alliance side.

Goblin was not Blizzard's first choice for the Horde and it seems they wont officially release what the Horde race was going to be until well after Cataclysm launch!
