Making an emulated server public(ish)

Hello! I've been using the wonderful repacked server emulator and it works like a dream.

But I was wondering if there's a way to make it so that my flatmate can play in it with me? I tried replacing all mentions of 127.0.0.1 with the static ip address from whatismyip.com, but it didn't work at all, and when I tried to change it back it still didn't work. I had to re-install the whole thing. So I decided not to touch it anymore as I obviously don't know what I'm doing.

Is there a way to make that work? If there is, could I trouble you to tell me?
